MAYDAY! – AirCrash Investigations – National Geographic Channel
The Canadian Production Company CINEFLIX commissioned FSR to Produce an Episode of the Worldwide Broadcast TV Series, MAYDAY! AIR CRASH INVESTIGATIONS” for the National Geographic Channel. The Series investigates some of the worst aviation crashes around the World. The Brazil Episode focused on a Varig passengers Flight from São Paulo to Belem, Brazil, that crashed in the Amazon Jungle with over 13 deaths on September 3rd 1989. The survivors, many badly injured were found two days later by the Jungle Rescue and Air Crash investigation Team. FSR produções™ re-constructed the sequences at Tijuca Forest in Rio re-producing the exact moment when Investigators found the aircraft and its survivors in the jungle. Interviews with survivors were also recorded in different locations in Brazil. FSR produções™ provided camera and production crew, Ancine permits and the licenses to film in Protect Native Areas.
In June 2013 Foundation Television travelled to Rio to shoot elements for the BBC Television - CBeebies Show - Mister Maker Around the World. Mister Maker airs in over a hundred countries and our technical requirements are very high.
The pre-production and shoot were set up by FSR and FSR worked closely with the UK production team to book the Rio team, source locations and book the crew and technical equipment. FSR also supervised the location recces and came out out on all the shoot days. FSR Producoes was a pleasure to work with.
